This rule applies to everyone on our worksites, regardless of whether they work for us or not, and in real-terms it means that we:

  • take responsibility for our personal safety and that of those around us at all times,
  • always fully comply with the requirements of our Safety Management System,
  • only complete workplace tasks or activities if we are licensed, trained, competent, fit  and physically capable enough to do so,
  • never wilfully or negligently ignore safety instructions or modify, misuse or interfere with items of plant or equipment,
  • challenge and report any unsafe behaviour, bullying, harassment or discrimination,
  • do not participate in any horseplay or pranks during working hours,
  • recognise and report any good safety behaviours and performance we observe, and
  • fully participate in all work, health and safety discussions, emergency drills and training sessions.
