Urban Utilities support a range of community organisations and events each year as part of our sponsorship program.

Through these sponsorships we form mutually beneficial relationships in our community, working collaboratively towards our purpose to enrich quality of life.  Our sponsorship program is built around five major themes – community, people, business, environment and innovation. 

In our current program we are proud to be sponsoring Tangalooma EcoMarines. Our relationship with Tangalooma EcoMarines began in 2014 when we became an inaugural sponsor, alongside Tangalooma Island Resort.

Tangalooma EcoMarines is an environmental education program aimed at developing environmental leadership in young people.

We also sponsor Orange Sky Laundry, the world’s first free mobile laundry service for the homeless. In 2016 we jumped on board a sponsorship of the trial of Orange Sky’s first mobile shower van in Brisbane. The shower van has now become a permanent service.

Our Sponsorship guidelines are available to assist you in completing the application form and submitting your proposal.

Our Sponsorship Committee meets quarterly to review proposals. Please ensure applications are submitted six weeks prior to the committee meeting on the following days:

  • 6 March 2020
  • 5 June 2020
  • 4 September 2020
  • 4 December 2020

Please note, enquiries for our portable water stations and hydration van are via our Portable Water Solutions Booking Form.

Our Sponsorship Committee evaluates proposals against our defined sponsorship criteria and takes into consideration resourcing and timing of proposals.

Please allow at least 12 weeks for us to review your proposal, and to finalise sponsorship agreements for successful applications.
