Queensland Urban Utilities completed a $620,000 upgrade to Fernvale’s Sewer Network in August 2015 adding 780m of new sewer pipes between the Brisbane Valley Highway and Banks Creek Road, Fernvale.

This project doubled the capacity of the network by increasing the size of most pipes from 150mm to 300mm. Trenchless technology was used to tunnel under the highway to connect to the network and new pipes were laid along Banks Creek Road and along Burns Road to Stumer Park.

This project supports the reliability of the network and caters for long term future development in the area.
