You can rely on us to keeps things flowing and from time-to-time we need to maintain the water network.

Our contractor, Detection Services, will soon commence work to progressively clean sections of the water pipes in Upper Mount Gravatt and Forest Lake, using mobile filtration technology.

When is it happening?

This work is planned at Upper Mount Gravatt from early May and is expected to take up to four weeks to complete, weather and site conditions permitting. Crews will then move to Forest Lake from late May for up to four weeks.

The work will be done during the day between 6.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

What to expect
  • Crews will move from street to street with a truck-mounted filtration unit to clean sections of the water mains.
  • Traffic management may be implemented where required, to maintain traffic and property access.
  • There may be some noise when the filtration unit is operating from the truck, which will idle for short periods at points along the water main, before moving to the next section.
  • As we carry out this work, some residents may temporarily experience lower water pressure than normal.
  • Some residents might experience discoloured water for a short period following the work.
  • If this occurs, please run an outside tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear. You can capture this in a bucket to water your plants. If the discolouration persists, please contact us.
