What to expect during construction?

During construction, nearby residents and businesses may experience some noise and dust during excavation. We’ll minimise this where we can.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place around work areas along School Road and Mount Juillerat Drive, Redbank Plains. Traffic management will be in place to look after the safety of pedestrians and road users and maintain local access. There will also be temporary restrictions to on street parking along Woodroffe Crescent, Redbank Plains during construction.

Please take care and observe all signposting, speed limits and any directions given by traffic controllers. Barriers and signage will be installed around work areas to keep everyone safe.

Trees

Tree removal or trimming may be required at the worksite.  Trees required to be removed will be marked with “R” in advance of removal. Any removed trees will be replaced with Council specified species and replanted in approved areas, following project completion.

We have gone through an extensive process of design and approvals to ensure every effort has been made to minimise tree removal where possible. Trees marked for removal in the construction access area will be removed in accordance with Ipswich City Council and State Government requirements. These activities will be monitored and approved by a qualified Arborist and a Fauna Spotter.

Restoration activities

Post construction, we will restore all work areas as close to original condition as possible and will undertake landscaping to ensure the area blends with the existing environment as much as possible.

How will impacts be managed?

Downer WSP and their contractors will minimise the construction impacts to the extent possible, including managing noise and dust at the source, utilising traffic control and reviewing work methods as required.
