Water main burst

Update 1.25pm: The road restoration is complete and all lanes in Ann St have now reopened. Thanks to motorists for their patience today.

Queensland Urban Utilities is repairing a burst water main on Ann St near the intersection of George St in the Brisbane CBD.

The burst was reported around 3.37am and crews responded immediately to turn off the water.

Ann St was temporarily closed between George and Roma Streets, but two lanes were reopened around 6.30am, after the debris was cleaned off the road.

Crews are working to repair the pipe and two lanes will remain closed while work is carried out.
