The current heatwave is placing extra demand on our water network.

During a typical summer day, Brisbane consumes around 330 megalitres . Over the weekend, consumption increased to more than 400 megalitres per day.

This extraordinary demand, combined with some local network challenges, has seen residents in pockets of Upper Kedron, Ferny Grove and Keperra experience problems with their water supply.

We apologise to residents for the inconvenience. We’re working to minimise the impact and resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

Bottled water is available at four local parks and we’re personally delivering it to those unable to collect it.

Information will be made available as it comes to hand via our social media channels, website and 24/7 phone line 13 23 64.

We encourage any residents with concerns to get in touch with us.
