Update: Scenic Rim treated water supply returns to normal operations
April 3, 2017Water supply to the Scenic Rim is returning to normal with Seqwater’s Beaudesert, Rathdowney and Canungra water treatment plants now back online.
The Kooralbyn water treatment plant (WTP) will continue to be supplied by tankering while the WTP is repaired and until the plant is fully operational. The Canungra WTP is online but will be supported by tankering until reservoir levels return to normal.
Seqwater will be replenishing water reservoirs across Scenic Rim treatment plants throughout the day.
The tanker filling stations at Rathdowney, Beaudesert and Canungra have re-opened.
There is no impact on drinking water quality in the area and there is sufficient water supply in storage at the Seqwater and Queensland Urban Utilities reservoirs for the coming days; however, residents are encouraged to continue to use drinking water wisely as the system stabilises.

Update: Tankering to continue over the weekend to maintain Scenic Rim water supply
April 1, 2017Tankering to Seqwater’s water treatment plants in the Scenic Rim will continue over the weekend to supplement storage levels and maintain supply to the region.
There is no impact on drinking water quality in the area.
Tankering will be occurring to reservoirs at Canungra, Kooralbyn, Beaudesert and Rathdowney as staff gain access to plants as localised flooding starts to subside in some areas.
There remains sufficient water supply in storage for coming days at Seqwater’s reservoirs and Queensland Urban Utilities’ reservoirs to meet local demand.
As the clean-up starts in the Scenic Rim, residents are encouraged to only use their drinking water supply for essential purposes including any flood-related clean-up inside homes.
For outside areas where there is no impact on health or hygiene, residents are requested to delay using town water to help in conserving supply over the weekend until conditions return to normal.
To further conserve water, tanker filling stations in Beaudesert and Canungra have been temporarily closed.
Seqwater is also tankering water over the weekend to Dayboro and Kenilworth water treatment plants due to these plants being offline as a result of the severe weather event. There is enough water supply in storage to meet demand in these areas.

Water supply to the Scenic Rim area will continue to meet local demand over the weekend, with tankering to supplement areas where water treatment plants are offline.
There is currently no impact on drinking water quality in the area.
As a result of significant local flooding across the Scenic Rim, Seqwater’s water treatment plants at Kooralbyn, Beaudesert, Rathdowney and Canungra are offline.
However, there is sufficient water supply in storage for coming days at Seqwater’s reservoirs and Queensland Urban Utilities’ reservoirs.
Tankering will supplement this supply where needed and when access to the Kooralbyn, Rathdowney and Canungra plants and reservoirs is restored.
Residents are also encouraged to limit their use of drinking water for cleaning to help conserve supply until local conditions improve.
