Given the extensive impact of the extreme weather in February 2022, we understand some businesses and households may need to reprioritise their expenses.
We have a dedicated program called Urban Assist – a special assistance program for customers impacted by the extreme weather and flooding.
We have a range of flexible assistance options available for anyone experiencing difficulty paying their water and sewerage bills, including payment extensions of up to 90 days and payment plans.
If you are experiencing difficulty paying your water and sewerage bill, you can apply for financial assistance above or you can get in touch via 13 26 57 (8am to 6pm weekdays).
Extra relief for flood affected customers
For properties identified as flood affected through our work with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), we’ll be automatically applying a $50 rebate to our component of water usage charges for water used during clean-up. If you have used water to clean up as a result of the February 2022 floods and it has not been applied to your account by June 30, 2022 , you can enquire here.
Uninhabitable properties
In addition, we will also automatically rebate water and sewerage services charges for customers whose properties are uninhabitable due to the flood damage from Friday 25 February to Saturday 31 December 2022.
If relief was not automatically applied to your account by June 30, 2022 and your property is uninhabitable, you can apply for relief here. If your application is approved, the credit will be applied to your water and sewerage account.
We're here for you.
